Christopher Kent, DC, JD
His passion for facilitating human empowerment led him to the chiropractic profession, where he has served as a practitioner, educator, author, lecturer, and researcher. Dr. Kent is a graduate of Palmer College.
Dr. Kent has been recognized as "Chiropractic Researcher of the Year" in 1991 and "Chiropractor of the Year" in 1998 by the International Chiropractors Association (ICA). In June 2001, Dr. Kent was elected Chair of the United Nations Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Health Committee, the first chiropractor to hold that office. In 2007, Dr. Kent was honored with the first Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed by Life University.
Dr. Kent's ability to integrate the philosophy and science of chiropractic is legendary.
Matthew McCoy DC, MPH
A researcher, academic, lecturer and author, Dr. McCoy has over 30 years of clinical experience having practiced in New York, Florida, Washington, Georgia and Russia.
He received his undergraduate degree in Organizational Management from Covenant College, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University and a Masters of Public Health from Emory University specializing in Health Outcomes.
Dr. McCoy has an active research agenda; his current areas of interests include health outcomes research, pediatric research, prevention of chronic, lifestyle-related diseases, personal health autonomy, and outcomes measurement in health care. He has been actively engaged in health policy over several decades and has been involved in evidence based guideline development and best practices initiatives since the early 1990’s.
Dr. McCoy is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sherman College of Chiropractic and was previously a Professor at Life University where he taught for 18 years. Dr. McCoy has also taught postgraduate and continuing education courses for chiropractors on a regular basis over the past 25 years. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation. Dr. McCoy is presently Editor & Publisher of the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal and Family Health – Chiropractic, Annals of Vertebral Subluxation Research, Journal of Upper Cervical Chiropractic Research and the Journal of Philosophy, Principles and Practice of Chiropractic. He also publishes the Chiropractic Chronicle which is THE source for news on the traditional, conservative faction of the chiropractic profession.
Dr. McCoy is the CEO and Co-Founder of the ChiroFutures Malpractice Insurance Program and has served as an expert witness and consultant defending chiropractors in insurance reviews, malpractice cases and regulatory board actions for over 30 years.
